The history of the airport dates back to the last century when the unified air enterprise "Pulkovo" functioned. June 24, 1932, is considered the birthday of the Pulkovo airline. The current terminal is designed to serve up to 18 million passengers a year, but in the future, it is planned to expand it and increase the annual capacity to 35 million people.

Terminal 1

Since 2014, one passenger terminal has been operating at the airport. It accepts and sends both domestic and international flights. This is a modern three-story building, which has everything you need for passenger service: a check-in and passport control area, shops, medical aid points, restaurants and cafes, ATMs, and much more.

Passengers with children

Changing rooms are provided on all floors of the terminal. The mother and child room is on the second floor. Children under the age of 7, accompanied by one adult, are allowed to enter. You must first get a certificate from the medical center. The room has a sleeping area, a game section, and a kitchen where you can warm up food for the child. Children under the age of 12 can spend time in special areas with toys and drawing tables. How to get to and from the airport to the city by public transport

Pulkovo Airport is located on the territory of St. Petersburg. The city center is approximately 20 km away.

Bus stop

There is a public transport stop opposite the exit from the arrivals hall, from which buses No.39 and No.39E depart, going to the final destination "Moskovskaya" metro station. There you can change to the metro (subway). Keep in mind that our metro is very deep and you will have to use an escalator. Mind the number and size of the luggage you have.

There about 70 different officially registered taxi companies operating from Pulkovo Airport as well as thousands of unregistered and unlicensed drivers. You can get lucky, find the right driver and get to the city by economy class car for 10 - 20 euros. Beware of scammers and illegal taxis!
