The state Hermitage Museum has a collection of about three million works of art and monuments of world culture. It includes paintings, drawings, sculptures and applied arts, archaeological finds and numismatic material.

The Museum complex includes the Menshikov Palace and the Eastern Wing of the General Staff Building, the Old Village restoration and preservation center, and the Museum of the Imperial Porcelain Factory.
